Asia’s No. 1 Precious Metal Mountain, Jinguashi Qitang Old Street – Historical Corridor, Guashan Elementary School and British Prisoner of War Camp

Jinguashi Qitang Old Street and Guashan Elementary School have been together for more than a hundred years. Since the opening of the mine, the population of Jinguashi has gradually increased. At its peak, there were more than 3,000 people. Ruifang Public School was established in early 1918 (the seventh year of Taisho). The school’s Jinguashi branch opened a new page in mining education. In 1922 (Taisho 11th year), it became independent as Jinguashi Public School and has laid the foundation for Jinguashi mining basic education ever since.
