The East Coast Road: Past and Present (6)

The Baqi Observatory is located at the highest point of Provincial Highway 11. The towering mountains on both sides form a contrast with the Pacific Coast. In addition, its high geographical location allows you to clearly see the Jiqi Bay, Guihou Cape and Xinshe Sea Cliff. It is a must-visit rest stop for many people traveling along the Eastern Coast Highway.

The past and present of East Coast Road (4)

I met Teacher Banai by chance;

In April, I brought my children to participate in the East Coast Shuilian Tribe’s Spray Crab event, where I got to know Teacher Banai;
The children like Teacher Banai very much, and I am very grateful to Teacher Banai for taking care of the children.
Panay is the traditional name of the Ami people;
Teacher Banai’s name comes from the Ami language, which means glutinous rice/ear of rice; it also means hard work, wisdom, and beauty.
