On March 7, 1872, Dr. MacKay from Canada crossed the ocean and came to Taiwan. What greeted him was a land where the holy religion had not yet emerged and transportation and travel were extremely inconvenient. But this seemingly wild land is actually the land where Dr. Mackie established a deep emotional attachment and devoted himself to his career. It is also the land where he finally rested.
